Dr. Yurek has always had an interest in wildlife and exotic animals, and has spent time at multiple wildlife centers including the Denver Zoo, Greenwood Wildlife Rehabilitation Center, and at a wildlife rescue in Phetchaburi, Thailand. Her professional areas of interest include internal medicine, cardiology, and exotic pets (particularly birds and ferrets). Dr. Brad Bundy– DVM, Partner
Dr. Bundy’s love for animals and desire to become a veterinarian began at an early age. Dr. Bundy grew up in the Denver area and following graduation from high school, headed up to Colorado State University. Dr. Bundy graduated in 2005 with a BS in Zoology before deciding to pursue his veterinary training at Colorado State University. After graduation in 2009 with his DVM degree, Dr. Bundy ventured down to Tampa Bay, FL to complete a small animal medicine and surgery rotating internship. During that time, Dr. Bundy was able to foster his deep-seeded interest in exotic species including birds, small mammals and reptiles/amphibians. Dr. Bundy returned back to Colorado following his internship to begin practicing as an emergency veterinarian in Colorado Springs. Emergency medicine was exciting for Dr. Bundy, however after approximately a year and a half; Dr. Bundy found his true calling in general practice. Dr. Bundy’s professional interests still include exotic/avian medicine and surgery, but have also expanded to surgery, cardiology and nutrition. In his free time you will find Dr. Bundy hitting the links to play some golf, taking in the newest movies or simply sitting on a rooftop, enjoying the 360+ days of beautiful Colorado sunshine.
Dr. Jessica Hess– DVM, Partner
After graduating from the University of Missouri School of Veterinary Medicine in 2009, she moved to Denver to pursue an internship at VCA Alameda East Veterinary Hospital. She has worked at several small animal clinics in the Denver Metro area and joined VetweRx in spring 2013. While she likes all fields of small animal medicine, she most enjoys Preventative Care, Internal Medicine, and Dentistry. Her interests outside of veterinary medicine include hiking, reading, spending time in the mountains, and traveling and exploring new places. But most importantly she loves spending time with her family—husband Matt, 2 dogs—Archie and Echo, 2 cats—Nike and Pandora and the most recent addition, her young daughter, Berkeley.

My name is Jeracha Duff and I am a veterinary assistant at Vetwerx animal hospital. I grew up in Lexington, Kentucky on a horse farm and have been around animals all my life. I became a vet tech to help give animals a voice. When I was a kid I would always bring home dogs, cats, turtles or whatever creature that needed a home. I have always had a soft spot for animals in need. I have three dogs of my own that are my life. I enjoy hiking and camping in the summer and always bring the pups along. My dream is to one day open up an animal shelter of my own and bring with me the skills I have learned while working at a vet clinic.
